Dance Masters of America offers a Student Honors Intensive Program (S.H.I.P.) at The State University of New York at Buffalo. SHIP NY is an EXCELLENT program for the serious young dancer.

The members of Dance Masters of America’s Advisory Committee and Mr. Tom Ralabate, our Education Strategist saw a need for a special program for serious dance students.  These educational programs are specifically designed to extend their dance training and introduce many avenues in dance open to them.

The students attending SHIP NY will have daily technique classes, in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Modern, Lyrical, Musical Theatre and Hip Hop, taught by our fabulous faculty. They will fine-tune their auditioning skills for both college and the professional world.  At the end of the week, the students will perform in a showcase.

Students who have reached their eighteenth birthday and want to become a dance educator will be given the opportunity to attend either one of the SHIP Programs or our Teachers Training School Program.

Students attending SHIP NY are required to stay in the dormitories. With common housing, our aim is to create a friendly and fraternal atmosphere that will foster mutual growth and prepare  the students for college life. Dance Masters of America will provide adult chaperones for all students attending the SHIP NY program. Adults (over the age of 21) wishing to volunteer may request a Chaperone Form from the Administrator or National Treasurer (see contact information below). If approved, the Chaperone will receive free Dormitory Lodging and a Meal Ticket. Students attending SHIP Texas will need their own housing and meals as this is a day program.

College bound students in their senior year of high school should note that one college credit is available at the State University of New York at Buffalo for a fee. Forms and Fees will be available onsite at the Registration Desk. (At this time this is only offered at SHIP NY).
